Keep the whole keys, then multiply the remaining fraction by the refined-per-key rate. For example, at a hypothetical 50 ref per key, 2.22 keys = 2 keys + (0.22 × 50) ref = 2 keys + 11 ref. This is a worked example, not today’s key price.
Use the sell-listing rate when buying keys and the buy-order rate when selling them. Refined notation such as 0.11 means one scrap, not an exact decimal fraction; the converter rounds to tradable metal units. For a contract, count all ten input purchases and value each output at its buyer’s offer after fees.

One refined equals three reclaimed or nine scrap. TF2 uses .11 ref for one scrap, .33 ref for one reclaimed, and .88 ref for eight scrap. The calculator works in crafting units to keep batch totals consistent with this notation. Weapon equivalents describe crafting value, not the selling price of a particular weapon.
Yes. Share calculation copies a link containing your amount, currency unit and selected rate. Opening it labels the saved rate as manual, so a historical estimate is never presented as a fresh market quote. Reset returns to the current observed rate.
Sellers ask for one price; buyers offer another. The difference is the spread. Use the lowest sell listing when spending refined to buy a key, and the highest buy order when selling a key for refined.
Acquiring ref: divide the dollar cost of a key by the ref received when selling that key. Liquidating ref: divide the dollar proceeds of selling a key by the ref required to buy it. These are two-step estimates; fees, whole-key increments, trade restrictions and market movements affect the result.
